After a long flight into New York
I was craving a stay that felt cozy
personal
and a little indulgent — and Viana Hotel and Spa delivered on all fronts. Nestled in Westbury
Long Island
about 30 minutes from the hustle of Manhattan
it’s a hidden gem offering both convenience and tranquility.
Check-in was smooth
with the front desk staff warmly greeting me and even offering herbal tea while my room was prepared. The lobby had a welcoming
boutique vibe — chic yet homey.
My room was spacious and immaculately clean
with modern décor
plush bedding
and little touches like eco-friendly bath products and a meditation area. It felt like my personal sanctuary after a long day of travel.
The next couple of days were about soaking in the local charm. I visited the nearby Roosevelt Field Mall (great for a casual afternoon of retail therapy) and took a peaceful walk through Old Westbury Gardens
where early spring blossoms were just starting to peek out.
Evenings were best spent back at Viana’s Marco Polo’s Restaurant
where I discovered my favorite dish of the trip — their Pan-Seared Salmon with Lemon Butter Sauce. Paired it with a crisp glass of Chardonnay
and it was heaven after a day of wandering.
One of the main reasons I picked Viana Hotel and Spa was — of course — the full-service spa. And it did not disappoint.
I treated myself to a 60-minute Swedish massage
followed by a rejuvenating facial. The staff was professional and kind
and the spa itself had a calming
Zen-like atmosphere. Post-treatment
I spent time in their relaxation lounge
sipping herbal tea and reading. Honestly
one of the highlights of my stay.
After days of roaming and indulgence
I dedicated my last full day to simply enjoying the hotel. Ordered room service breakfast (their veggie omelet is surprisingly good)
lounged in bed
and caught up on a book I’d been meaning to finish.
Later
I hit the fitness center for a quick workout and enjoyed a final evening soak in their indoor heated pool — a cozy little spot that I had almost entirely to myself.
If you’re looking for a stay that blends comfort
modern amenities
and a touch of boutique hotel charm in New York’s Long Island area

yet peaceful enough to feel like a true escape.
