There couldn’t have been a more perfect setting to start my Lisbon journey than checking into Jupiter Lisboa Hotel on Valentine’s Day. From the moment I stepped into the lobby
the atmosphere was welcoming and warm—with soft lighting
modern Portuguese design
and a bouquet of red roses at the reception desk to mark the occasion.
My room was stylish
spacious
and calming with a soft-toned color palette and a big comfy bed—ideal for unwinding after a long journey. After settling in
I headed to the rooftop bar for a sunset cocktail. With Lisbon’s skyline glowing in golden light
it was the perfect start to this romantic escape.
Dinner that evening? A short walk away at a traditional Fado house
where soulful music and candle-lit ambiance made the night unforgettable.
I woke up to the most peaceful morning and headed down for breakfast. The buffet at Jupiter Lisboa is full of fresh pastries
fruits
cheeses
and pastel de nata (of course!).
Energized
I hopped on the nearby metro at Campo Pequeno
and within minutes I was in Baixa and Alfama—Lisbon’s most charming neighborhoods. I spent the day wandering through tiled streets
riding the historic Tram 28
and enjoying coffee at Miradouro da Senhora do Monte with sweeping views of the city.
Back at the hotel
a relaxing dip in the spa’s heated indoor pool melted away the fatigue of the day.
A rainy February morning gave me the perfect excuse to stay in and explore the hotel’s BluSpa. I booked a signature massage
followed by some time in the sauna and steam room. Pure bliss.
That afternoon
I wandered through Avenida da Liberdade for a bit of upscale window shopping. Dinner was at the hotel’s own Dom Alimado Restaurant—Mediterranean-inspired with a modern touch. I had the grilled octopus
and it was simply amazing.
You can't come to Lisbon and miss Sintra. Just a short train ride away
this fairy-tale town took my breath away. I explored the vibrant Pena Palace
walked through mystical forests
and visited the mysterious Quinta da Regaleira.
Returning to Jupiter Lisboa in the evening felt like coming back to a home base—welcoming
warm
and peaceful.
My last full day was slower and more reflective. I spent the morning journaling on the rooftop terrace
with a warm espresso in hand and Lisbon’s sun peeking through February’s clouds.
Later
I visited Museu Calouste Gulbenkian
which is just a short walk from the hotel
to enjoy some incredible art and quiet time.
The evening was spent under the stars on the rooftop—cheers to five nights of discovery
calm
and connection.
Jupiter Lisboa Hotel offered the perfect balance between comfort
elegance
and convenience. The team was attentive
the spa was a sanctuary
and the rooftop? A Lisbon highlight. Whether you're visiting for romance (like me on Valentine’s Day)
adventure
or just a peaceful escape
this place hits the sweet spot.
Try the spa early in your stay—you’ll want to go more than once.
The Campo Pequeno area is peaceful and well-connected by metro.
Head to the rooftop for both sunset and sunrise views.
Ask for a room with a balcony—Lisbon light is magical.
If traveling in February
pack a light jacket and layers—it’s cool
but not cold.
