I arrived in Delhi on a pleasant March afternoon — one of those days when the city feels neither too chilly nor too warm. Being just a 5-minute drive from Indira Gandhi International Airport
Aloft New Delhi Aerocity was the perfect choice to kick off my trip.
Check-in was seamless. The hotel lobby had a chic
vibrant atmosphere with modern
playful interiors — think neon signs
bold colors
and cool ambient music playing in the background. The staff welcomed me with refreshing cold towels and a drink
setting the tone for a relaxed stay.
My room was spacious
bright
and contemporary
with quirky art on the walls and a super comfy bed. And yes
the Wi-Fi was blazing fast — a traveler’s blessing.
Mornings started with a hearty breakfast at Nook
the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant. The spread was impressive — Indian classics like aloo paratha
idli sambhar
alongside continental favorites. Their masala chai was an instant favorite.
I spent my days exploring Delhi’s iconic spots — Qutub Minar
India Gate
and the bustling lanes of Connaught Place. Returning to the hotel felt like stepping back into my own urban cocoon.
Evenings were for unwinding at W XYZ Bar inside the hotel. Great cocktails
live music
and an easy-going crowd made it a perfect place to end the day. If you’re into mixology
try their signature Aerocity Mule — refreshing and with just the right kick.
Took a slower pace on Day 4. Spent hours by the rooftop pool — not massive but perfect for a dip and lounging under Delhi’s clear March skies. Ordered light bites from their poolside menu and caught up on reading.
Later
wandered around Aerocity’s Worldmark complex
a lively area packed with cafés
restaurants
and boutique stores. Had an early dinner at Kampai
a fabulous Japanese restaurant nearby. Pro tip — try their ramen and matcha ice cream.
Before wrapping up my trip
I treated myself to a relaxing massage at the hotel’s wellness center. Not a full-blown spa
but enough to de-stress my travel-tired muscles.
Spent my last evening soaking in the city’s vibe from my room window
with planes gliding in and out in the distance — a strangely calming sight.
Aloft New Delhi Aerocity is a fantastic base if you’re looking for a modern
convenient
and fun place to stay near the airport. It’s ideal for short city breaks
layovers
or as a start/end point to a North India tour.
